FAQ

Exercise: Good for immunity or not?

Your immune system is strengthened by exercise. When you exercise, your body produces white blood cells which fight off infections. You can also eliminate toxins from the body. Exercise helps prevent diseases like cancer and heart disease. Exercise also helps to reduce stress levels.

However, overtraining can damage your immune system. If you work out too hard, your muscles become sore. This causes inflammation and swelling. To fight infection, your body will produce more antibodies. The problem is that these extra antibodies can cause allergies and autoimmune disorders.

So, don't overdo it!

Is cold a sign of a weak immune response?

It's been said that there are two kinds of people in the world; those who love winter and those who hate it. It doesn't matter if you love it or not, it is possible to wonder why it makes you feel so miserable when it gets cold outside.

The fact is that our bodies are designed for warmth and function best. Hot climates are where our food sources are most plentiful, and we evolved to thrive there.

We live in a very different environment than our ancestors. We spend much more time indoors, often exposed to extreme temperatures (cold and heat), and we eat foods that are processed rather than fresh.

Our bodies aren’t accustomed to such extremes. That means that when we do venture outdoors, we're left feeling tired, sluggish, and even sick.

However, there are some ways to reduce these effects. One way is to make sure that you stay well-hydrated throughout the day. Drinking plenty of water will help you keep your body hydrated and flush out toxins.

You must also ensure that you are eating healthy foods. Your body will stay at its best when you eat healthy foods. This is particularly helpful for anyone who spends long periods of time inside.

It is worth taking a few extra minutes each day to meditate. Meditation can help you relax your mind, body and soul. This makes it easier to manage stress and illnesses.
